When Canadian outdoorsman Danny Delwo decided to rebuild the massive deck at his lake house on Lake Wanapitei, he wanted something clean, strong, and easy to build — all on his own.
With his old wood railings rotting and the balusters nailed directly into the fascia, it was time for an upgrade. Danny chose the Snap’n Lock™ Baluster System — and the results speak for themselves.
This twenty-year-old deck had great bones, but the surface boards and railings were long past their prime.
The framing and foundation were still solid, so Danny replaced only what needed attention. Using pressure-treated lumber, Snap’n Lock Balusters, Shadow Rail Connectors, and Titan Post Anchors, he gave his 800-square-foot deck a complete facelift — one that looks as good as it performs.

“I’ve never built a deck before,” Danny said. “But once I started installing the Snap’n Lock system, I couldn’t believe how easy it was. The balusters just click in — no measuring, no guessing.”

The Snap’n Lock Baluster System is designed for fast, precise installation. The balusters install sideways, not vertically, so there’s no need to fight with spacers or align every picket by hand.
Each connection is strong, uniform, and clean — giving Danny’s railing a professional look without professional help.
Danny paired the Snap’n Lock Balusters with:
Titan Post Anchors – to securely mount 6x6 posts without notching or rot risk
Shadow Rail Connectors – for a hidden, seamless attachment between rails and posts
Galvanized post skirts – to finish off each post with a crisp, durable look
Together, these products form a complete railing system that’s fast, solid, and maintenance-friendly — perfect for DIYers who want pro-level results.

Danny’s deck wraps around two sides of his lake house, featuring a built-in hot tub, wide stairs, and a subtle two-level design that defines different spaces.
He even added a vertical board skirt with a hidden access gate, keeping everything tidy while blending beautifully into the natural surroundings of Northern Ontario.

“If you’re on the fence about rebuilding your railing — do it. The Snap’n Lock system made the job easy, and now my deck looks brand new. It’s strong, clean, and built to last.”
