“I am amazed by how much I was able to get done in the first 2 days, which allowed me to rock and roll afterwards. I couldn’t have done it without your product. That is an absolute truth.”
- Tim D., Deck Foot Customer
Building a pergola? These attractive brackets allow for variable-sized posts to be attached to our Flat or Convex Load Plates.
Typically, hollow wood posts are used this way. If you use a solid post, bore a 2" diameter by 2" deep hole in the post bottom to allow the drive head of the Auger to fit in.
Made of galvanized steel and powder coated for maximum durability. Sold in 2 Packs or 4 Packs with or without fasteners. Fasteners include stainless self-drilling screws and ACQ compatible wood screws.
Pergola Posts from Kits often vary in size. These brackets will work with virtually any of them. Grab a copy of this installation guide and use it to help plan your project.
It's full of easy to understand illustrations to help you every step of the way.
Install the auger and plate. Mark the post location with tape. Place post brackets along the edge of the tape. Drive metal drilling screws through the brackets and the plate. Remove the brackets and the tape. Put the brackets over the holes in the plate and drive the screws home. Put the post in place and drive screws through the brackets to secure it.
The “L” brackets need to be 2” taller so a person could drill a hole to put a carriage bolt through.
Post are good, screws are low quality and useless
