Additional Information
Do not let the simple look of the Snap 'n Lock™ Balusters fool you. A lot of thought went into conceiving this design in order to make it work so well. The base and the collar are designed to incredibly tight tolerances so they fit together like a glove and constrict around the baluster to hold it tight eliminating any wobble.
The sidewalls of the base are free to flex and accept the baluster as it is pushed in place. The mating surfaces of the base and the collar are sloped so that as they slide together the fit gets tighter and tighter until they lock together once fully seated.
The parts can be released by fitting a slot screwdriver under the color and popping it up. This allows for easy maintenance or the addition of decorative baluster collars anytime after installation.
Sideways installation makes this possible!
With traditional plug systems, you have to take down the entire railing and rebuild from scratch.
Make sure to measure the gap between your upper and lower 2x4 rails and pick the 25" or 31" and then cut them down to your specific gap less 1/2" for the thickness of the base connectors.
Aluminum is so easy to cut and is not subject to oxidization the same way ferrous metals are.
This saves you a lot of time and money. But the best thing is that you just gave your old worn out wood railing a brand new life.
Let's take a closer look at how the stair adapters work with the Snap Lock Balusters connectors. No need to cut balusters at an angle.
Just snap the adapter to the underside of the base connector and screw the unified parts to the 2x4 as normal.
The shorter 25" balusters are recommended for most common stair rail applications.

This helpful visual guide is worth a thousand words and shows just how simple it is.
The shorter 25" balusters are recommended for most common stair rail applications as shown in the diagram.
The collar releases using a slot screwdriver.
Just slide and lock the collar down when you are done.
Do not use impact driver. Neither the screws or the connectors are designed for installation with an impact driver.
Use a variable speed screw driver and set torque to low-medium.
Overdriving screws into the connectors can damage the connector and reduce lifespan.
I replaced an 8 foot section of hand rail. I used the snap’s lock with 3/4 inch rectangle balusters. The look is clean and modern. The balusters are very secure with no wiggle room or rattling. It also made the job easier to complete.
You must use their balusters. Slide down connectors are exactly 3/4” and will not slide over a 3/4” square baluster. Obviously, their balusters must be slightly smaller than 3/4”. Base pieces will work but slide lock pieces will not slide around. I got balusters from another company and they measured exactly 3/4”. The opening of these slide locks is also 3/4”. Obviously needs to be larger opening to go AROUND 3/4” square balusters.
Fantastically tight tolerances, very high quality control, fit hand-in-glove with Titan balusters. Seem to be very sturdy.
Rich,
Thanks for the opportunity to respond to your review request. I installed 50 balusters in an outdoor screened porch. The need to install balusters was that the owner's dogs liked to lay against the screen material tearing it in many places. The balusters resolved the screen issue and enhanced the overall design. The only issue I had was the snap'n connector caps would not consistently slip down and cover the base locking the balusters in place. After many trial and error attempts to slide the caps over the bases I discovered the issue. Inside each cap there are ridges that provide the strength to the cap. On three of the sides there are four internal ridges, and one side the cap only has three ridges. In order for the caps to slip down easily and cover the base the three ridges side must face on the open side of the base. I did not find anything in the instructions indicating the cap must be oriented in this manner. Once I discovered it the job went quickly and easily. Since installing the balusters, the owner has had many positive compliments from family and friends. I think your product is excellent in design and quality and added a lot of improvement and benefits on the job,
Steve A.
