We actually bought the Foot

We actually bought the Foot Anchor for one our installers who was putting in a ground level deck. Se said he loved the product. Installation was easy and he felt they gave the deck a more than sufficient base. We will be ordering again. Thanks.

The deck foot anchors worked excellent for my gazebo project.

Great Option For Homeowners

Fantastic Option for homeowners!

Lots of support online in the form of videos and written instructions. Much easier then messing with concrete. Prepping for and pouring concrete would have taken multiple days. I was able to emplace these anchors in about an hour and they are rock solid.

Bad overall experience

To be fair, I have to put this review in 2 separate categories, 1. Product 2. Customer Service.
1. I was excited when I came across this product. The idea that I didn’t have to dig holes was really appealing. I ordered about 22 of the products for my deck, according to the planner. My product arrived in 4 boxes. 1 box arrived the day before but FedEx took it back due to damage box the drawer said they would repackage. A few weeks later I started my deck and was missing 1 box. The tracking does not show individual boxes- just 1 shipment.
When I received everything needed, including the socket set recommended by titan, it did not fit. I couldn’t reach titan, so I spent the time grinding down the hex tops to fit the sockets. What a chore to do. The second one that went in sheared the auger. These were the 48” rods. When it hit the hard clay at 18”, it didn’t want to “easily” drive in with a impact driver. Here is the gem, the deep well sockets are almost the size of the threads, when your driving these down, the entry thread for the nut gets damaged and now your attempting to recut the damaged thread 3” from the ground after it’s been driven in. After spending hours putting in 6 of these (including grind time), I said the hell with it and dug holes and poured concrete. The product is novel and has potential, but it seems I received the prototype- not what was advertised nor quality. I’d be happy to get every dime back after this experience. After more research, some places rent driver machine for auger style deck rods.

2. The customer service was ok. When I spoke to someone about the missing box, they did some research and showed they did ship the product. Their internal records had date stamps. So FedEx lost my box, but claimed it was delivered. The company wanted me, the customer, to go to FedEx and speak to people to see about the missing parts at the distribution center. Huh? 50 miles away. So I called, only the sender can make a claim. This was not only frustrating going nowhere. We went around with this for a few days with Titan, but they went ahead and sent the parts missing. They want me to send the missing parts back if FedEx finds them, at my expense. It’s so weird. It’s a small company that can’t afford to take to big of a hit, but the product is so sub standard, there should be good profit from the “cheap” quality you get. It was beyond frustrating.
I expect a rebuttal from the company, which I would be happy with “we are so sorry for your bad experience, we will be happy to, at no charge to you , pick up the remainder of the unused product and refund you for what you didn’t use”, but We’re not in 1950 anymore.

Thank you George for your message and our phone conversation. We are happy to refund you for any of the product that has not been used. We also regret the experience you had with the drive heads which were over sized. Oversized drive heads should never leave our shop but in the event we missed one we are supposed to include a note with your receipt advising to simply use a 1/2' socket instead of the 12mm and the problem is solved. So very sorry that this did not happen. With regard to FedEx we have no control when they lose shipments and we have made a claim with them. We did ship replacement parts at our expense. Our refund offer for the remaining unused parts remains open as per our conversation and we thank you for your candid comments for which we will use to prevent this happening again.
