Why We Recommend Using In Cooler Climates?
PVC expands along its length in high heat and the ends can flare and waver if subjected to direct high heat. This can be controlled by using screws (colored to match Rail Shield material).
A 6' length can expand up to 3/16" over a 40°F change. It expands most during its first exposure and then contracts in the winter. But it nevers expands back to the full length again. So this must be kept in mind.
